About the event

Transgenerational transmissions: Exploring the influences of the past

On Tuesday, April 28, we will have our next Hamburg Therapist Meetup in cooperation with It's Complicated.

Join us for an insightful talk by Dr. David Dickinson, a licensed psychotherapist, exploring the impact of transgenerational trauma.

This event invites psychologists to explore the influences of culture and familial relationships through the generations. We will be looking at the view of various psychological factions on this topic, the role of parental bonding, epigenetics, and the effects of trauma on subsequent generations.

Transgenerational transmissions have often been explained away by Bandura's social learning theory and a part of this topic will be used to reassess this.

Open to all mental health professionals in Hamburg.
