As a multicultural individual with cross-cultural living experience, I specialize in working with immigrants, expats, intercultural couples and families, and challenges related to cross-cultural living. Amanda Hoffmann, English-Speaking Therapist in Hamburg

I am an American-born licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and Heilpraktikerin for Psychotherapie in Hamburg, Germany. I offer online and in-person counseling and psychotherapy to adolescents and adults to help them overcome their emotional struggles and live more fulfilling lives. I have a passion for helping people find the balance and peace they need to thrive. Having moved to Germany in 2015 with my German husband and children, I understand firsthand what it means to build a new life as an expat. My personal experience has shaped my approach to therapy, and it's why I'm proud to offer a unique perspective on mental health issues. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, which I utilise in my practice to assist others in achieving their goals.

AntonDeVries English Speaking Psychologist Hamburg

I am an Australian psychologist with education and clinical experience across three continents. I provide counselling online and in-person in Hamburg, as a way past feeling lost, stuck, fearful, overwhelmed. I also lead empowering workshops for youth and adults, indoors and out in nature.

Sessions are safe, private, and free from cultural judgment. My approach centres on shared humanity, drawing together modern Western as well as traditional perspectives, including DBT, hypnosis, and Daoism. Through structured skill development and open-ended exploration of life's meaning, clients slow down anxious thoughts, gain emotional mastery, and find the courage to feel worthy of a good life.

Nadja Sada, Italian and German Therapist

I am an Italian psychological counselor licensed to practice psychotherapy as a Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie. Growing up between Italy and Germany has provided me with firsthand experience of the challenges of adaptation and migration conflicts. My therapeutic approach blends elements of Gestalt psychotherapy and behavioral therapy, while also being person-centered and emphasizing balance and self-awareness through the integration of Mind-Body-Soul. Moving abroad can feel like learning to walk again—a series of firsts that evoke doubts, fears, anxieties, and uncertainties. Throughout this process, I support you in getting to know and understand yourself better. Change unfolds as you delve into self-discovery and understanding.

We understand that finding the right therapist can be a challenging process, especially as an expat. That's why we are here to help. To get in touch with us, please fill out the contact form.
